Visiting Uganda

Traveling to Uganda:

Kampala is located 40km from Entebbe International Airport. An airport shuttle between Entebbe International Airport and the Sheraton, Protea and Metropole hotels will be provided for participants on April 3rd as well as the 6th and 7th. A shuttle schedule will be available in March.

Visa Information:

You can apply for a visa to visit Uganda online. The online application can be found here. Before you begin the online application, you will need:

  • Vaccination Certification for Yellow Fever
  • Passport sized photo
  • Copy of your passport bio-data page
  • Your arrival date
  • Hotel contact information (or Ugandan conference contact information: Paul Kaheru, Dash Events Ltd, +256776500656)

All visas are processed and approved in 2-3 working days. You may be requested to submit a formal conference invitation letter. If so, please contact Brian Shaw at brian.shaw@sabin.org to have one issued.  Once you are approved, you will need to print out your approval paperwork and present it upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport. Visas are $50 USD which you will be required to pay upon arrival.
