Travel awards for late breaker abstract presenters at the 10th International Conference on Typhoid and Other Invasive Salmonelloses are now closed.

Eligibility:

The Coalition against Typhoid is pleased to offer a limited number of travel awards to individuals working in the typhoid, paratyphoid, and invasive nontyphoidal Salmonella field to attend and participate in the 10th International Conference on Typhoid and Other Invasive Salmonelloses. Presenters of oral and poster abstracts as well as invited symposium and plenary presenters who would be unable to attend the conference without financial assistance are eligible to apply.

Priority will be given to researchers from low- and middle-income countries. Awardees are selected through a competitive process based on abstract quality, demonstrated commitment to research or advocacy in the field, and written and spoken proficiency in English.

Terms of the Award:

The travel award includes:

  • Hotel (accommodations at a hotel with shuttle service to the conference center)
  • Flight (airfare at lowest fare available, from the nearest international airport)
  • Visa on arrival
  • Per diem (modest food and living allowance)

Please note that travel to Uganda requires a passport that is valid for six months after the date of entry and a yellow fever vaccination certificate. The travel award does not cover the costs of obtaining or renewing a passport and yellow fever vaccination certificate.

Application:

The application will include a short personal statement (250 words) describing how your participation in the conference would benefit your organization, community, and/or the field of typhoid and other invasive salmonelloses. Applications are now closed.
