Typhoid outbreak grips Syria’s Yarmouk

Update concerning the typhoid outbreak in Syria’s Yarmouk refugee camp

 

While the total population of Yarmouk continues to dwindle, the total number of typhoid cases within the camp has spiked to 90. According to UNRWA spokesperson Chris Gunness, “This is 90 too many.” The UN is now requesting access to Yarmouk refugee camp to help the vulnerable population that remains.
