The application period for travel awards is now closed.
Eligibility:
The Coalition against Typhoid is pleased to offer a limited number of travel awards for individuals working in the typhoid, paratyphoid, and invasive nontyphoidal Salmonella field to attend and participate in the 13th International Conference on Typhoid and Other Invasive Salmonelloses. Abstract presenters and symposium speakers who would be unable to attend the conference without financial assistance are eligible to apply.
Priority will be given to researchers from low- and middle-income countries. Awardees are selected through a competitive process based on abstract quality, demonstrated commitment to research or advocacy in the field, and written and spoken proficiency in English.
Terms of the Award:
The travel award includes:
- Hotel (accommodations at a hotel with shuttle service to the conference center)
- Flight (airfare at lowest fare available, from the nearest international airport)
- Visa on arrival
- Per diem (modest food and living allowance)
Application:
The application will include a short personal statement (250 words) describing how your participation in the conference would benefit your organization, community, and/or the field of typhoid and other invasive salmonelloses.
