Engage the donor community to mobilize financial & other resources for CaT activities

The Coalition against Typhoid will contribute to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals by helping to reduce childhood illness and mortality in typhoid-high burden communities, ensuring children in typhoid-high burden communities are healthy enough to attend school, and bringing together resources and technical assistance to prevent typhoid infection in the world’s least-developed countries.

Towards this end, CaT is bringing together members of the donor community and actively advocating for support of typhoid vaccines.

Despite an affordable public sector price per dose, access to typhoid vaccines remains low in many high burden communities. Increasing awareness of and access to typhoid vaccines within high burden communities remains a global health priority.
