9 Strategic Areas of Work
1. Ensure global typhoid immunization and financing policies are available and disseminated at the regional and national levels, and promote an approach to the control of typhoid fever that is integrated with other cost-effective public health interventions and strategies, including enteric and diarrheal disease prevention
2. Strengthen surveillance systems in endemic countries
3. Develop the investment case
4. Support country decision-making and the implementation of typhoid immunization programs
5. Strengthen global typhoid vaccine security
6. Create an enabling environment for the development of new vaccines, new diagnostics, disease transmission research and operations research
7. Engage the donor community to mobilize financial & other resources for CaT activities
8. Mobilize and strengthen global, regional, and national advocacy, communication, and information dissemination on the prevention of enteric fever and the use of typhoid vaccines
9. Coordinate and manage the development, implementation and updating of the CaT Work Plan
