Líneas de Acción 2: Vigilancia

Strengthen surveillance systems in endemic countries

As part of our ongoing efforts to increase awareness of the typhoid fever disease burden, the CaT Secretariat has been reporting typhoid outbreaks to HealthMap, an online aggregate of infectious disease outbreaks.

The CaT Secretariat encourages its members to contribute surveillance data, including case reports, case fatalities, or suspected cases via email to hotline@healthmap.org.MHealth in Action. Source: UN Foundation

HealthMap also accepts outbreak reports via text message, voicemail, their iPhone or Android applications, or their online form. The variety of reporting options are intended to facilitate updates and case reports at the community and clinic levels. CaT members are encouraged to send eyewitness reports from their observations in the field.
